My Advice

Overall the university professors are helpful to students who approach them. a. Be aware of signing documents like contracts, they basically wind you up. b. Financing studies: If students have a thought to work and pay the university is not a good idea. Better plan ahead to pay and study. c. It's no fun when you do not have a job and try to pay your bills from your friends pocket that leads you straight into ditch.

Obtaining visa wasn't a problem as the correct documents were shown and the [visa] admission into the country was done sooner than expected. I did enjoyed traveling abroad, the first from my family a thrilling experience that i can describe in few words. You got to experience for yourself.

I wish some kind of scholarship was given to students who can't afford the total. It was a disappointment as the merit wouldn't help much as the indian system is not that much accepted that a student could obtain scholarship even he scored good percentage in various subjects in the past.

I contested for the international student body and was elected as the steering group committee representative for international student for over two years even an year after my graduation. Tough time i faced to find a job part-time or full-time. It was a horrible experience that it did not expected. Students of any country who are willing to work were given jobs to work in pubs, bars, hospitals,.. as cleaners, attendants. etc..Such an approach or provision for jobs is so unkind and unwelcoming for students. There should be someone who can take care to work out with local govt or private orgs to provide jobs for students part-time/full-time some decent jobs that they can share to their children what they did to live and study..

I hope they create more jobs and offer to international students. At least if they could provide internships for 6-10 months would help a graduate in his future, that can hasten his progress.
