I had enrolled for M.Sc. Automotive Systems Engineering which to start with is an amazing, fascinating and interesting course. The course structure and facilties made the course very intriguing. During the course, several professionals from industries gave lectures, giving an insight into the real world. The student experience at the university is one of the best. There is plenty to get involved in and it is hard to find a dull moment. Whether you are a party person or an academic achiever, or a mix of both, you will blend in well. All in all, I would recommend this university to anyone and especially my course. If you are looking to advance academically with a hint of fun, come to Loughborough.

The entire process is really simple as it is all made available. The correspondence is really quick and instructions provided are easy to follow. The selection process is quite simple as well. As long as you have your English qualifications, you should get through easily The visa process is not a very complex process. Helpful advice is to apply for it way before the university starts.

There are plenty of scholarship and funding opportunities. Most of the courses you are automatically considered, but have to make a separate application for few of them. As mentioned earlier, the course is very interesting and challenging. The labs and facilities related with the course are the best bits, especially the time when the department's vehicle, a Jaguar XF was taken to the track to do some testing as part of a module. Being a masters course, I only had 6 weeks of lectures for 6 modules. These weeks would comprise of 9 hours per day. The rest of the days in the year are utilized for completion of coursework and ofcourse, project. The department provides an online forum for each module, where you can find solutions for any course related doubts, or coursework doubts or any general help. The staff and tutors are always willing to help and provide all contact methods and try to provide the maximum information. Finally I would say, if you are an automotive enthusiast, do not miss out the opportunity on joining this course. The degree from this university is sought after all leading car manufacturing brands.

Being a sports university, all sports related facilities are at its best. The university boasts some of the most expensive and high tech equipments. Loughborough as a town is a university town and you will mainly find students all around the town which is quite nice. If you are a party person, there are plenty of night clubs situated in the town, at the same time plenty of sports pubs for sport fanatics, especially football. But if you feel too lazy to walk to town and enjoy being inside the cozy university, you still have access to all requirement. The student's union is your one stop shop for any need, be it a hair cut, thirst for a beer or even a tooth paste. All facilities are available in the student's union building, even banks. I would highly recommend being very active as soon as your term starts. The union hosts societies day where all socities put up stands and show what they do. There are about 63 socities matching almost every interest. If you still cant find a society or club of your interest, you are always welcome to start one. I was part of the motor, tennis and photography club and had loads of fun in each of them. There are plenty of country specific clubs as well and an International Day is conducted every year.

I would definitely agree that my job prospects have increased with this degree. The degree is sought after all leading automotive manufacturers. Theres an amazing alumni association the university is in constant touch with you, providing you assistance even after you graduate.
