English language courses

Around 600,000 students from around the world are studying English language in the UK at any one time. Courses include exam preparation such as IELTS, TOFEL and Cambridge exams as well as GMAT. Other English language courses will prepare you for university entrance or for business and teaching English as a foreign language.

Courses can be in the form of general and intensive English language courses for beginners upwards, to courses that are specifically for further study, such as an English for academic purposes (EAP) course or pre-university entrance English courses. Each of these varies in length and study hours, depending on where you choose to study. Each institution will also have its own application requirements and deadlines.
