Universiti Pertahanan Nasional Malaysia was established in 1995, to upgrade the knowledge and academic status of the armed forces. Military training is compulsory to all UPNM students. Undergraduate degree courses are offered in fields of engineering, sciences and managements to meet the basic requirements of military training. Graduate programs are offered in civil engineering, mechanical, electrical & electronics, computer science, strategic & international affairs, resource management, defence and maritime technology.
