Charles Darwin University, Australia
Charles Darwin University (CDU) is a research-intensive comprehensive university located in Darwin the most northerly capital city in Australia. We are closer to many major Asian cities than to any Australian capital city. We are an outward looking, progressive university with well established teaching and research partnerships with universities in China, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Vietnam and Timor Leste, USA and Europe.
The University has all of the advantages of a new generation multi sector educational institution - vigour, creativity, flexibility and freedom from the constraints of tradition. CDU offers a fresh approach to education, training, research and knowledge application, in line with its desire to be internationally recognised as a centre for excellence in Indigenous and cross-cultural knowledge, tropical knowledge and desert knowledge. Students from over fifty countries have the opportunity to study in a multicultural environment that will add richness to their international experience.
CDU also offers students state-of-the-art facilities to enhance the study experience. Resources include a well-stocked library, extensive IT support and classrooms and laboratories equipped with the most modern study tools.
We have 8 campuses; the main campus at Casuarina is set in 56 hectares of parkland close to the pristine beaches in Darwin's northern suburbs.
We have 7 Schools; Creative Arts and Humanities, Education; Engineering and Information Technology; Environmental and Life Sciences; Indigenous Knowledge; Health Sciences; Law and Business.
