The Faculty of Education at Anglia Ruskin University is one of the UK’s leading centres for studies in education and related disciplines.
The Faculty firmly believes that education plays a powerful role in transforming lives and with this in mind, the Department has designed a range of courses to meet the interests and needs of those who wish to work in a wide range of educational contexts, from early years practitioners to doctoral programmes for qualified teachers. The courses have been designed to equip students with the knowledge, skills and experience required to engage confidently and competently in education-related environments.
Every year, Anglia Ruskin University provides significant numbers of high quality newly-qualified teachers to the primary and secondary schools in the region. The courses run at all campuses in Cambridge, Chelmsford, and University Centre Peterborough as well as from Colleges of Further Education such as Epping Forest, Thurrock and Basildon.
The Faculty is best known for established teacher training courses. The primary and secondary courses have been newly re-validated after extensive consultation with the department’s partner schools.
The Faculty is committed to high standards of scholarship and research to offer students opportunities through which they can learn and undertake research with scholars who are at the forefront of developments in their disciplines. The Faculty is also equipped with an enthusiastic team of tutors and support staff who are dedicated to helping the students succeed in studies.
Over the years, the department has developed its role as a leader in national and international education policy and practice and become the first choice for educational professionals from around the world to develop their careers in the UK.
