Anglia Ruskin University (ARU) was awarded university status in 1992. Today, with a student population of 31,000, it is one of the largest universities in the East of England.
ARU students are on courses leading to undergraduate and postgraduate degrees, as well as to a range of professional qualifications. In addition to being one of the most significant suppliers of nurses and teachers to the professions, ARU offers an ever expanding range of contemporary courses designed to meet the needs of the individual and the requirements of a knowledge-based economy.

The Faculty of Science and Technology is one of the largest in the University with over 4500 students studying worldwide. The Faculty offers a range of programmes from Foundation Degree through to PhD and Professional Doctorate. Students will be supported by a dynamic and friendly team of academic, technical and support staff. Students will also have access to state-of-the-art research facilities, fully furnished teaching laboratories, and excellent library facilities, on both Cambridge and Chelmsford campuses.
The Faculty is organised into five separate departments which cover a range of scientific and technological disciplines - Built Environment, Computing and Technology, Life Sciences, Vision & Hearing Sciences, and Psychology. Many of these programmes are accredited by recognised professional institutions within the United Kingdom and worldwide.
