The MSc in Physiotherapy at Anglia Ruskin University is designed to enable physiotherapy practitioners to develop their knowledge and advance their practice to meet the increasingly complex demands of physiotherapy within the health and social care sector. The course fosters innovation and creativity to enable students to influence practice and service delivery and effect change.
Exercise has always been one of the key skills of physiotherapy, particularly in the treatment of musculoskeletal and acquired cardio respiratory disease and in the prevention and treatment of many diseases that are common today. The course enhances students’ understanding of the use of exercise to aid rehabilitation and enable physiotherapists to explore in depth the relevance of holistic rehabilitation in the promotion of function.
Essentially the course aims to enable students to:
Students will be joining a vibrant community of health and social care professionals and have access to excellent facilities and academic staff with a wealth of experience and research interests that crosses the broad spectrum of healthcare, including physiotherapy, radiography, social work and nursing.
The University also has a wide range of student support services. Those whose first language is not English will benefit from a number of study skills sessions available throughout each semester. Students are also allocated a personal tutor who will provide support throughout their time with the University.
