King’s College London is one of England’s oldest and most prestigious university institutions. It is a multi-faculty research-led university college based in the heart of London. The College has over 24,500 students, of whom more than 10,000 are postgraduates. It is ranked as one of the world’s top 25 universities.

The College offers the perfect blend of an intellectually rigorous environment and caring traditions, and has played a major role in many of the advanced research that has helped to shape modern life, such as the discovery of the structure of DNA.

King’s is the largest centre for the education of doctors, dentists and other healthcare professionals in Europe, and home to six Medical Research Council centres. Nine people who have worked or studied at King's and its constituent institutions have been awarded the Nobel Prize.

King’s location in the heart of London and its strength in law, humanities and the social sciences make it a major player in forging links between the arts and culture, as well as in the development of public policy at national level.  Its very broad range of subjects - also including physical sciences and engineering - are increasingly inter-related, notably in fields such as bioinformatics, health policy and medical humanities.

The College is home to nine schools of study. They are the schools of Arts & Humanities, Biomedical & Health Sciences, Law, Physical Sciences & Engineering; Social Science & Public Policy and Medicine, the Dental Institute; the Florence Nightingale School of Nursing & Midwifery;  and the Institute of Psychiatry.

London, one of the most exciting cities across the globe, has a vibrant international community well contributed to by a number of students from India. Currently there are 279 Indian students studying at King’s and they are made to feel at home by the Indian society that aims to raise awareness of, and promote, Indian culture. Additionally the King’s India Institute is a focal point in the UK for research and teaching on contemporary India.

Prospective Indian students can meet the College’s representatives when they visit India at least twice a year to fortify excellent student-College relations. More information about the study and life experience can also be obtained from the College’s 418 Indian alumni.
