Swansea University is a vibrant research-intensive institution which offers students an excellent environment to live and study. The parkland campus of the University has an enchanting location overlooking the Swansea Bay. Starting out with just 89 students in 1920, the University is now home to 13,000 students from over 90 countries.
Swansea has plenty to offer to international students - right from the breathtaking location and beautiful campus on the edge of the Gower Peninsula to the challenging research and academic programmes. The friendly and close-knit community at Swansea is bound to appeal to all international students and help them settle down quickly to a great university life.
Indian students are accorded a very warm welcome by the University and are offered academic support, sporting and cultural facilities, besides a safe and friendly study environment. As Swansea is both a scientific and a technical institution, students have a wide variety of subjects to choose from; there are nearly 500 undergraduate and 130 postgraduate courses offered in a wide range of subject areas. Currently there are over 70 Indian students studying at Swansea at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
The excellence of the academic programs ensures that 95% of the graduates are either employed or are pursuing higher degrees within six months of graduating, making them some of the most sought after graduates by UK employers.
