Liverpool John Moores University, founded in 1825 as Liverpool Mechanics' School of Arts, has grown over the past 184 years' as a global leader in delivering higher education. The University is located at Liverpool in United Kingdom and is a member of the University Alliance, a group of British universities established in 2007. The University had around 24,000 students comprising of 20,000 undergraduate students and 4,000 graduate students in 2006. The six faculties of the University include Business and Law; Education, Community and Leisure; Health and Applied Social Sciences; Media, Arts and Social Science; Science; and Technology and Environment.
