Mander Portman Woodward Birmingham is part of the MPW group of independent fifth- and sixth-form colleges founded in London in 1973. The Birmingham College was opened in 1980 and accepts up to 160 students each year preparing for GCSE, A level and Oxbridge Entrance. The College offers courses in accounting, art, biology, business studies, computing, economics, English, film studies, government and politics, history, information communication technology, languages, law, mathematics, philosophy, psychology, religious studies, sociology and science.
