Northumbria University, a modern public university was established in 1969 and comprises of around 31,000 students. Situated in Newcastle, north-east of England, Northumbria has two separate campuses: the City campus in the centre of Newcastle upon Tyne and Coach Lane campus, in the leafy suburbs of the city. The University offers nearly 500 courses under nine faculties which include applied sciences, arts and social sciences, built environment, design, health, community and education, computing, engineering and information sciences, law, Newcastle business school and psychology and sports sciences.
