St Mary's University College was founded in 1850 by the Catholic Poor Schools Committee to meet the need for teachers to provide an education for the growing numbers of poor Catholic children located at Twickenham, a small suburb in London. The College comprises of five schools, namely Communication, Culture and Creative Arts; Education; Human Sciences; Management and Social Sciences; and Theology, Philosophy and History. The College offers a number of undergraduate, foundation, post graduate, PGCE Teaching, ILM Courses, and a variety of short courses for its students.
