Course summary In order to gain the Access to HE Diploma Computing you will need to achieve the right number and level of credits. These are set by the awarding body, Open College Network London Region OCNLR. In order to gain an Access to HE Diploma you must achieve at least 60 credits, 45 at level 3 and 15 at level 2 or 3. Credits are gained by completing units - some units are mandatory and some are optional. Mandatory units are common to all OCNLR validated courses of this type and are usually study skills units and are designed to prepare you for University level study regardless of the degree you finally opt for. The remaining units will be optional which means the actual units included, and the number of units, will differ from one course to another. To gain the Access to HE Diploma Computing you will need to achieve the following combination of credits. Mandatory - 9, 93 Graphics and Multimedia - 9, 93 Computer Studies - 6, 63 Operating Systems and Networks - 6, 63 Programming and Databases - 6, 63 Mathematics for Computing - 9, 33 and 62 IT - 6, 33 and 32 Study Skills - 9, 33 and 62.
International admissions requirements All applicants for Access will be considered if they have substantial experience in life outside formal education. This would normally mean having had a two-year break from full-time education. There are no specific entry qualifications other than a commit
