Course summary For those who are interested in human behaviour, leadership and team working, and would like to develop the skills and knowledge required by employers in the Uniformed Public Services sector. The course is equivalent to 3 A Levels. Some units are compulsory and others have been selected to give students a broad course which is relevant to the widest career opportunities. Mandatory Units Unit 1: Government, Policies and the Public Services Unit 2: Leadership and Teamwork in the Public Services Unit 3: Citizenship, Diversity and the Public Services Unit 4: Understanding Discipline in the Uniformed Public Services Unit 6: Fitness Testing and Training for the Uniformed Public Services Optional Units can include: Physical Preparation, Health and Lifestyle for the Public Services, Crime and its Effects on Society, Police Powers in the Public Services, Behaviour in Public Sector Employment and Aspects of the Legal System and Law Making Process.
