Course summary Animal behaviour provides a unique combination of rigorous academic study with hands on training and experience in animal care and welfare; students have daily contact with animals throughout the 1st year of study and the course gives students the opportunity to learn about the handling and care of; domestic mammals and birds; reptiles, amphibians, birds of prey and exotic species; with so many aspects of life involving psychology in some way, studying the subject is both interesting and useful and the knowledge and experience gained may lead towards 1 of the traditional fields of professional psychology (such as clinical psychology, educational psychology or occupational psychology).
