Course summary Graduates from the counselling programme gain a balance of knowledge, skills and personal awareness that equips them to work in a wide variety of people orientated careers; enhancing students' ability to be ethically mindful in a primary role and to communicate effectively and facilitate problem solving in others; the sociology programme is comprised of intellectually stimulating modules that provide an emphasis on theory, and especially practice, and the significance of applying sociological knowledge with respect to the understanding of contemporary social problem issues and questions surrounding what might be done to overcome them.
