Course summary Main research areas are: exercise physiology; reproductive biology: sperm maturation and fertilisation; cryopreservation of sperm for genetic conservation; novel approaches to equine management, health and nutrition; veterinary microbiology and dermatology; current research projects include: free radicals and stress in horses; improvement of horse stabling and management; control of water transport in sperm in relation to the freezing process.
