Program modules Year 1: Cells and tissues; soft tissue manipulation and massage; physiology of high intensity performance; sports therapy 1; human anatomy; introduction to sports biomechanics; physiology of endurance performance; research methods for sports and exercise sciences 1. Year 2: Sports therapy 2; clinical pathology; physiological limitations to performance; research methods for sports and exercise sciences 2; exercise prescription for health and fitness; fundamentals of manual therapy; rehabilitation and remedial therapy; biomechanics and performance analysis in sport and exercise. Year 3: Independent project; biomedical implications and applications of peripheral manipulations; nutrition for sport and exercise; psychology of injury and rehabilitation; therapeutic and clinical electrotherapy; academic and practical sports therapy; work placement or physiology of training.
