This program has the ability to render treatment for common and unusual oral problems incidental to the physical and emotional development of the child. Students will develop an understanding of the biological basis, development milestones and psychosocial considerations that are necessary to manage children in the dental setting. They will be competent in clinical diagnosis and treatment, with an emphasis on the disease intervention and conservative restorative approach. They will be equipped to properly educate children and their parents on how to achieve optimum oral health. Students will develop competency in the critical evaluation of clinical and laboratory research as it pertains to the field of children's dentistry. This program offered to dentists trained in countries other than the United States or Canada who seek to improve their clinical skills and knowledge in all phases of dentistry for children. Emphasis is placed on gaining a critical and analytical attitude toward existing and new information in the treatment of pediatric patients. These full time, post graduate level programs are designed for the dentists who plan to practice dentistry outside the United States.
Admission requirements include scores of SAT / ACT and TOEFL. Course specific requirements, if any, can be requested from the respective departments.
